Another phenomenon cocktail from Italy. Maybe we should have a post about Italy’s effect on the cocktail history.
Bellini is one of the simplest cocktails in the world, including just peach puree and prosecco.
Again there are some rumours about the first Bellini pouring date, some say it was in 1934 but some say it was in 1948. But one thing is sure, Bellini was created by Guiseppe Cipriani at Harry’s Bar, Venice.

And yes, you can feel that you know the name of Bellini from somewhere else. Giovanni Bellini is one of the famous Venetian artists and he has pinky scenes in his painting. And Cipriani decided to call his cocktail Bellini.
At first, Bellini was just a seasonal cocktail but it get very famous day by day in New York, Paris etc. And now you can see the menu everywhere.
