
- 1 1/2 ounces white rum
- 1/2 ounce orgeat syrup
- 1/2 ounce orange curaçao
- 1 ounce lime juice
- 1/4 ounce dark rum (optional)
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice.
- Shake until well chilled.
- Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
- Garnish with a lime wedge and a sprig of mint (optional).
The dark rum is optional, but it adds a nice depth of flavor to the cocktail. If you don’t have dark rum, you can use all white rum.

To make orgeat syrup, you will need:
- 1 cup almonds
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon orange blossom water
Instructions:
- Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth-lined sieve.
- Store the syrup in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
